As I was starting to post my art three years ago, I stumbled on an excellent art competition. This event had no participation fee, was about my exact niche, and offered good prize money with a winner exhibition included.

I naturally participated, and even though I did not win, that event offered me a path forward, and showed me that there are quality opportunities out there that target my profile.

After that I was determined to find another similar event, and quickly realized that finding a legitimate opportunity meant going through a dozen half-dead websites and hoping the one you found isn't a scam dressed up as a competition.

That's why Artleaf exists. I built the thing I actually wanted to use: a single, curated feed where every event passes a real legitimacy and fairness check before it's shown to anyone. If it doesn't hold up, it doesn't get published, no matter how many other sites already have it.

Artleaf's journey is just getting started, and our aim is to help other artists experience that same joy of getting recognized and seeing a path forward.
